Privacy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
Grow or Buy is built to keep your garden data yours. This page explains, in plain language, how the app handles your information. It describes the Grow or Buy mobile app; this website collects no personal data beyond privacy-friendly, aggregate visit statistics.
Where your data lives
Your garden — crops, harvests, expenses, notes, places and settings — is stored in a database on your device using local storage. The app works fully offline and does not require an account to use.
What leaves your device
Grow or Buy does not upload your garden records. The only data that can leave your device is anonymous crash and stability diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics), which help us fix bugs. Diagnostics are disabled in development builds. There is no advertising, no third-party tracking, and your records are never sold.
Export and deletion
You can export your entire garden to a spreadsheet (CSV) or a complete backup (JSON) at any time, without a subscription or account. Because your data is stored on your device, deleting the app removes your garden from that device.
Sharing a garden
Shared, multi-device gardens (the planned Household experience) are opt-in and are not enabled by default. If and when you turn on sharing, only the garden you choose to share is involved, and this page will be updated with the exact details before it ships.
Children
Grow or Buy is a general-audience gardening app and is not directed at children.
